Papers of Denis Warner [manuscript]. 1949-1997.

The collection has been organised into 12 series, the main ones being correspondence, notebooks, manuscripts, reviews of Warner's books and research material. The papers document Warner's career as a journalist, editor of the Asian Pacific Defence Reporter and author of numerous books (some of them were written in collaboration with his wife, Peggy). They include correspondence, reporter's notebooks, reviews and drafts of seven of his books, research material (notes, cuttings, photocopies and some correspondence) and papers relating to Wilfrid Burchett. The main correspondents include Geoffrey Fairbairn, Douglas Pike, Richard Woolcott, Claude Arnould, The Australian, Friedrich Bechtle, Robert Brand, Daily Telegraph, Phan Quang Dan, Clare Hollingworth, Richard Hughes, Tim Leimert, Lachlan McDonald, Michael Richardson, Sadao Seno and Warner's publishers and literary agents.
